Formula Student Success
The University of Hertfordshire Class One Team was awarded the cup for Best UK Team at this years Formula Student event held at Bruntingthorpe proving ground. The exhaust system for the car was designed by Adam Taylor and its flow analysis formed part of his final year project. Adam had worked for BTB during his industrial placement year and BTB were happy to provide advice and help with the design and manufacture of the exhaust. Adam used Solidworks to generate data that was fed directly to BTB's CNC tube bender, which significantly speeded up the build time. The team's success in the competition was matched by Adam's exam results, and he will now be joining BTB as graduate Design Engineer.
