Bastos Rover silenced
Another famous historic touring car received the BTB treatment recently. One of the original Bastos sponsored TWR Rovers had to be fitted with silencers to enable it to be demonstrated at certain track events this year. The car was originally raced in the 1986 European Touring Car Championship by Tom Walkinshaw, and scored many wins. It was vital for the new owners to be able to run the car to current noise regulations without restricting the 300bhp+ V8 engine or compromising the sleek Rovers extemely low ride height.
