Ferrari GT team employ BTB expertise to win
The racing season got off to a flying start for BTB with a double win for Duncan Cameron's MTech Ferrari in the opening two rounds of the prestigious British GT Championship at Oulton Park over the Easter Bank Holiday meeting. The F430 Scuderia had a new specification of engine fitted for the event which was found to be over the noise level. BTB speedily engineered a solution with a unique three silencer design, which obviously hasn't hampered the car's awesome pace.
Porsche Vmax contender gets BTB treatment
Last year BTB's craftsmanship impressed the CTR Developments team with a pair of inconel manifolds for their highly developed Porsche 935. So much so that when a CTR customer asked them to fit a similar specification to a potentially record breaking car they naturally chose BTB for the task of fabricating a suitable exhaust. This time however the installation was rather more challenging as the car in question was a road going 964 Turbo. The car is being prepared especially with the target of being able to hit 200mph on one of the popular VMax days at Bruntingthorpe airfield.
BTB Heritage Centre follow up
In BTB's last email newsletter we announced the impending opening of our new heritage centre. For those having missed the opening date of 1st April and wishing to tour the exhibits we have imposed a strict height limit of 42mm. Unfortunately anyone not meeting this restriction will have to be content with peering through the glass window at the neat rows of cars.
