BTB Back to Bikes
In between working on competitive racing cars and helping develop the next generation of supercars, BTB have been busy making exhausts for some motorbikes. Two wheelers are not regularly seen in the BTB workshops, but in an unusual twist, our success with various ‘bike engined racing cars has led to some interesting bike exhaust developments. Recent projects have included a racing V-Twin Ducati and a supercharged Suzuki Hayabusa. The Ducati’s engine layout makes it very difficult to get equal length primary pipes, but BTB solved that with some typically elaborate pipe bending. The owner of the machine commented that the engine runs much cleaner and he can feel the extra torque over the original layout which makes it much easier to ride. The Hayabusa is being prepared with just one thing in mind, Maximum Velocity. The 440bhp machine is due to be raced at this month's Brighton Speed Trials, and BTB’s efforts should be rewarded with a spectacular result.
