997GT3RS Trackday silencers
BTB recently came up with this solution for an enthusiastic owner of a new 997 GT3RS. The resulting titanium silencer (3.6 kilos) reduced the static test from 107dBA to 101dBA or with additional elements (adding 3.8 kilos) the static noise was down to 97dBA. The whole thing is designed to be added to the car in the paddock with a few hand tools via some quick release clamps, and when not in use will safely stow away in the front luggage compartment. For driving on the road the external silencers can quickly be swapped for our tasteful tail trims which are included in the kit. If necessary the car can easily be returned to completely standard specification at any time, and there will be no loss of power with the extra silencers installed.
